The instrument generates electrostatic discharges from -18kV to -0,2kV and form +0,2kV to +18kV according to the switch position selected.
The power supply unit converts a 220 AC voltage into 40VAC at 500mA.
The level of electrostatic discharge to the gun can be selected by means of a six position switch on the front panel of the instrument.

How use the instrument

The power supply converts a 220Vac voltage to 40Vac voltage at 500mA.

  • In position 1, a variable discharge from 200V to 8kV can be set for the gun by means of the “Fine” control on the panel. The discharge output voltage can be read directly on the digital meter above this control.
  • Position 2, sets the probe to a fixed voltage discharge of 9kV.
  • Position 3, sets the probe to a fixed voltage discharge of 10kV.
  • Position 4, sets the probe to a fixed voltage discharge of 12kV.
  • Position 5, sets the probe to a fixed voltage discharge of 14V.
  • Position 6, sets the probe to a fixed voltage discharge of 16kV.

A digital instrument measures the voltage discharge set for the gun in kV (kilovolts) for each switch position.
On changing the order of the two connections in the front panel it is possible to set positive or negative electrostatic discharge.
